DISCLAIMER: Dog Training & Behavior Guidance

The information, materials, and training methods provided on Happy Puppy Academy (including but not limited to website content, online courses, videos, downloadable guides, emails, and live coaching sessions) are for informational and educational purposes only.

Happy Puppy Academy, its owners, instructors, employees, agents, and affiliates (collectively, “we” or “us”) do not guarantee any specific results from the use of our training programs or advice. Dog behavior is influenced by numerous factors including breed, age, health, environment, past experiences, and individual temperament. No outcome—positive or negative—can be promised or assured.

You acknowledge and agree that:

  1. You are solely responsible for your dog’s behavior, actions, and responses at all times.

  2. We are not veterinarians, certified animal behaviorists, or licensed dog trainers (unless explicitly stated for a specific instructor with verifiable credentials). Our guidance is based on experience, research, and positive-reinforcement principles, but is not a substitute for professional veterinary or behavioral advice.

  3. Dogs may react unpredictably. Techniques that work for one dog may not work for another and could, in rare cases, lead to stress, fear, aggression, or injury.

  4. You must use common sense and good judgment. Stop any exercise immediately if your dog shows signs of distress, fear, pain, or aggression.

  5. Certain dogs require professional in-person intervention. If your dog has a history of biting, severe anxiety, resource guarding, or other serious behavioral issues, consult a qualified veterinary behaviorist or certified professional dog trainer (CPDT-KA, IAABC, etc.) before applying any online guidance.

By using Happy Puppy Academy resources, you release, waive, and discharge Happy Puppy Academy and its representatives from any and all liability, claims, demands, or causes of action arising from:

  • Injury to yourself, your dog, or third parties (including other animals or people).

  • Property damage.

  • Emotional distress or behavioral setbacks in your dog.

  • Any outcome resulting from following, misinterpreting, or partially applying our training methods.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Happy Puppy Academy from any claims made by others related to your dog’s behavior after using our services.

Health & Safety

  • Always ensure your dog is physically healthy and cleared by a veterinarian before starting any training or exercise program.

  • Use appropriate safety gear (e.g., secure leashes, harnesses, muzzles if needed).

  • Never leave dogs unattended during training activities.

Age & Supervision

Children under 18 must be supervised by a responsible adult when interacting with dogs during training.
